Howdy! I’m Bob, and I’m happy you want to learn a little more about me and my work! To keep it simple, right now I’m a short fiction writer focusing especially on science fiction and horror, but dabbling in genre across the board. I don’t tend to write pure fiction because frankly I don’t read it, but there might be one or two stories along the lines constrained by reality every once in a while.
I make podcasts under the names “Fableside” and “The Writer’s Block” to publish audio versions of my work. I do this because my parents always read bedtime stories to me as a kid, and to their credit they kept it up longer than I think most parents do. When I was old enough, my dad turned the onus on me and had me read to him. Now, I read to you.
You won’t find a sales pitch anywhere on this website (unless WordPress changes its policies and starts trying to sell to you through me). As it stands, all I want is to share my stories with anyone who will listen. But, if you like my work and want to support me, share it with your friends! Rate my podcast on Spotify or Apple Podcasts! Subscribe to my Instagram, if you want to see more of me and my attempts at the visual medium! Or, heck, drop a comment somewhere! I’ll reply to any I see; I’d love to hear from you.
John Scalzi does the rest of his bio in listicle format, and I really like that idea, so that’s what I’ll do here. This is updated as of 5/17/2023.
